Sigh, I have again an awful lot of things I need to say soon, so at the end I created this section to publish little pills:
- Tateru Nino posts at the Second life Insider this wonderfull story about Natalia Zelmanov… read it now! :-)
- At Lillie Yifu’s blog I’ve discovered Return to Second Life, who tells us a perfect example of the emotional rollercoaster SL can be.
- Unless a miracle happens, it is clear that Aradia Dielli (see the picture below) is going to win the #5 Second Style Fashion Challenge. I still think Quinlan Quimby is the moral winner, but at least I hoped that I whould win with her out of the competition :-p (that means I will not be able to propose my idea for the new challenge “Bitchie yuppies riding BDSM giraffes”… and yes, the picture is very small… I may be a sporstwoman, but maybe not a good one :-p).
- I found a link (sorry, I don’t remember where) that linked to this post on www.your2ndplace.com, that talked about this essay by Regina Lynn at Wired Magazine. It talks about the new, sad ”broadly offensive response” politic of Linden Labs. Have a look at it, it is worth the effort.
- Some more things: I’ve updated the blog categories and trimmed my too big Blogroll, limiting it to places I visit daily. Since weekends are complicated I doubt I’ll post anything until monday. Ah, yes! yesterday I slept seven wonderfull hours :-)

Nice links roundup, London. Especially that Wired essay–the comments demonstrate that ignorance among Wired commenters is at least as rampant as in other areas of the metaverse.
Thanks a lot Alexander, I really really love praises *smiles*. But I am afraid that even if I don’t fully agree with Regina’s text (I whould be back to SL only for the people and the enviroment, without the sex) I think she took the effort to try to understand it.
I am not trying to rebate you, but I am really curious about what did she write that was so wrong to “demonstrate a rampant ignorance”.
oh, I didn’t mean *she* was ignorant–it is the people leaving comments to her essay, such as:
“If you take away the fancy graphics, Second Life is nothing more than a common website with chat and conference features.”
and
“@runa27 Actually, those things ARE illegal. You can not legally consent to being tortured, bound, or enslaved. If you particpiate in a bdsm scene as a bottom, and a third party finds out, the top _CAN_ be arrested and tried for assult”
Statements like these demonstrate a lack of understanding of both Second Life and the difference between virtual role-play and real world activity. (Which was exactly the point that was lost on the second person.)
Ahhh! You are absolutly right there. Sigh, If only my english where better I whouldn’t put my big mouth where I shouldn’t… you clearly said commenters ;-p
Thanks for clearing it, Alexander :-)
