Hi! today I’ll be really busy, so I’ll only post a really quick one about how to control modules from the Pandora Classic Hud menu…
Go to the notecard, add a button at a menu or submenu, and then a line like “module=button, command”; when pressed, the button will send a linked message to all the hud with the given command.
For example, if you add a button called “AO off” and a line like “module=AO off,ao off”, and the same for “AO on”, you will be able to control any AO that accepts internal control messages… and yes, no idea if they do, so I’ll modify a Franimator for it and publish it as a freebie the friday.
Another module I am going to release, I hope the friday, too, is a lock button so your avie approachs and faces automaticaly the nearest avie in front of you… a function a lot of people had asked for :-)
Nothing more, “battle” clothes and back to RL. Farewell .-)

Hey London,
It would be nice if the hud could ‘minimize’ so it only occupies a little bit o space on the edge of the window and would ‘maximize’ when clicking it.
Best Yak
I maked it small to avoid screen cluttering, but anyway, I think I can put togheter a little script to hide it this weekend; if I do, I’ll publish it here :-)
Thanks very much London, much obliged…

[...] And speaking of customization, London posted a great tutorial on how to add scripts to the Pandora HUD Classic. [...]
Hi,
I recently released ZHAO II. The core AO function is now separate from the interface, and is completely controlled through link messages. So it should be fairly straightforward to incorporate that AO into any other device, and control it using your own scripts. I didn’t explain this in the documentation, but it’s described in the script comments. I figured anyone who knew how to send link messages would be comfortable reading comments in scripts :)
I set it up this way because I’m hoping that other developers will build on the core AO script and/or include it in other devices. Feel free to pick up a copy and play with it if you’re interested, and IM me if you have any questions.

I have a modified Franimator ready to act as a module for the Pandora, without the notecard giver and the listener, but it whould be a pleasure to release too add another AO based on your ZAO II (and, of course, it will help people to make the change since they can use their notecards :-p) .
I’ll have a look at it tomorrow and try to put both of them at the same time; thanks a lot for the advice, Ziggy… and i’t s a pleasure to “meet” you, since I used your original ZAO for ages :-)
Well, ZHAO II has a new notecard format, it’s no longer backwards compatible with old ZHAO/Franimation notecards. But I think the new format is a lot simpler, and I included a ‘Notecard Converter’ script so people wouldn’t have to copy all the animations names by hand.

Let me know what you think once you’ve played with it for a bit :)
