For a long time I’ve been wondering how World of Fashion managed to select what part of a post show… and, after receiving this comment… “Please use a cut next time⦠thx.” I know it is possible, even if I still don’t know how.
Anyway, I wanted to post, quickly, that even if I don’t share the prejudice against nudity (or, worse, nude hugs!!!) that roams the net, nothing further from my intentions than scandalice/annoy the feed readers.
I want to apologice about the previous pictures, and I’ll be in debt with anybody that teachs me how make a cut, to avoid that kind of situations in the future. Thanks in advance, and sorry again.

I’ve never used wordpress.com, but in WordPress there’s a button on the post compose page that has an icon that looks like two separated boxes. Clicking that allows you to separate your post with the “more” tag so that someone has to click through from your main page to see the rest of your post.
*bonks her head* I really should had look at the editor, but I was so sure it was a kind of HTML code to be inserted manually :-p.
Thanks, Brandy :-) Even if I hate to find that kind of cuts when browsing a page, it will let me avoid being rude, something that I hate even more.
Btw, you meet your husband in a MUD? whoa! :-)
I’m not a fan of the cuts either, but it does seem to be something that other people appreciate for photos that might not be safe for browsing at work.
And I did meet my husband in a MUD, and we’ve been together for 11 years now, so it’s worked well for us. :) I wish I could get him interested in SL, but he’s busy with other games. I just drag him over to my computer when I want to show him a pretty sim and/or building.
Lol London..you are still a step ahead of me…I still can’t figure out how to syndicate my page to SL World of Fashion *shrugs*
Elusyve, e-mail Tao Takashi – his e-mail is at the bottom of the page. When I e-mailed him, though, it took a month for him to add me — I don’t know if he was particularly busy or if that’s normal, but just FYI :)
London. Don’t feel bad. The cuts are just courtesy for us SL Fashion hungry who can’t help but browse the feed at work.
I’ve had a couple of close calls with my boss breezing behind my as I scrolled hastily past full frontal nudity shots on another blog that feeds into Fashion Planet.
I also blog on WordPress (http://fashionangels.wordpress.com/) and I’ve found that the “Split Post with More” button on the Visual tab can be flakey and not work half the time. So I always use the Code editor tab, place the cursor where I want the Link to appear and then Click the More button.
On Fashion Planet, we usually put our full photo credits after the cut (and sometimes an obligatory half nakie pic for fun), so we let the readers know what lies beyond the jump with a “Full Photo Credits after the cut”, or “NOT SFW (safe for work) Piccies after the jump” etc.
I really hope that helps, and I’d be happy to walk you through it if you still have troubles with it.
*HUGS* I enjoy your posts by the way, and I’ve actually never any issues with the photos that you post because they are all usually very tastefully done.
Brandy, the cut worked on my own belog, but the funny World of Fashion decided somewhat to cut by itself before my own cut :-p I whould really like to know how the decission taking works :-)
And about my husband, I tried to get interested long ago… but lately I like it more than he doesn’t logs at all :-p
Elusyve, I agree with Lavender comment, only I whould try IM’g him in world, too, and to have a feed address for the fashion contents of your blog (he probably will add your whole blog to World of SL). And yes, he can take days to answer, but when he does he is very nice :-)
Carissa, I’ll try your tip on the future, and check what happens. Nice blog, love you like this, and hugs you back with glee :-)
