We are adults!

Yesterday I assisted to my first Diversionarium event and I loved it, even if it was so late that at the end I was almost asleep. I’ll publish some pictures of it someday, if our hostesses don’t do it first :-)

Sadly, it was so late for me and I was so tired, that I stopped paying attention to the incoming people, and when Asura Orr added a coment on the previous post saying she had liked to meet us, I wasn’t able to ubicate her. Asura, I promise I’ll pay more attention next time, and the less I can do is relay your message to LL about identity verification here.

Now, this gives me the opportunity to agree with Casius Masala’s comment, too, about LL’s sad travel to mainstream.

I love SL because it is a mature place, and with that I dont mean sex, but a place for adults, to behave like adults. Of course not everybody does, like you can see on Lillie’s blog, but usually is enough to simply ignore them.

And yes, we, as adults, have different limits and it is hard to find a common ground. For example, I am sure that the pictures of my previous post are too much for some people, as Encore’s ones (warning, definitly NSFW!!!) are more than I whould publish here. Note: I am not critizising Encore’s blog, only mentioning we have different styles.

It is up to us to decide what we publish, and what we look at; our eyes whould not fall of our orbits if we see something that is too much for us… we only don’t have to go back to it. And yes, sometimes is hard to avoid it; the world isn’t perfect. That’s why I appreaciated the suggestion about adding a cut, so people who read feeds doesn’t have to “suffer” my pictures, when they have an erotic charge.

I like to read Lillie’s blog, and there is something that amuses and worries me at the same time, how Lillie worries about stablishing that she is a prostitute, but not a whore; she tries to be clear about that she sells her voice and digital body, but not her spirit. I feel that my own reputation as blogger is smaller than hers, since I shamelessly promote my products and I’ve shared my intimity here; but I do know that, even if both things are together, I am not selling my intimity to sell more products, I do because I want to, it is my style.

If I can keep my blogger self-steem high, Lillie should worry less about how her profession.

Now, without even daring to touch the pressures and motives of prostitution, I find that the ones who should feel ashamed are the customers, not the sellers… and even that frontier isn’t clear for me. I cannot despise a customer that fells solitude and pays for a (strange) kind of love, and I cannot approve a prostitute that despise her clients and make fun of them at their back, as I’ve seen in some comments at the Herald or the Avastar.

Being mature isn’t only matter of years, it is about knowing yourself, your limits, and test them. Tolerance, politeness, are a bonus. I try day by day to be mature, and sometimes fail. One of the handicaps of virtual worlds is that, since we lack of body language, emotions flow too high and we become unstable; small details can become extreme, painfull ofenses, if we aren’t carefull… we need to find a way to vent them, to ease the pressure, without becoming their slaves.

I’ll never be an utopian or a dystopian… I will not deny that it is them who brings the bigger, most awesome changes, and I respect their passion… but I like more a quiet, happy life, centered on the small details… even if sometimes they make me behave like a crazy, too emotive woman.

Sigh… let’s end this post with a lighter note, the responses to my half joke, half dare, to “show your nipples in protest for the Nipplegate”.

First, Laetitia told me she already showed them, long ago, in her own Drop your top protest, so it whould be redundant for her to do it again :-)

Also, Raul Crimsom did by himself, as an answer to the Nipplegate and without knowing about my post. Also, dandellion shows hers here, but since she doesn’t mention the post, I imagine it was only matter of chance.

Dalien is waiting for Vint’s permission so you will have to check from time to time his blog, but meanwhile he published his safe skin, and Vint will not show hers because she CUTTED THEM OFF!

Even it seems fun to you, it is much harder for me to show myself half naked with my human avie that with my bolder, pale one; so count this picture as a small “sacrifice” for the cause, eyes closed and waiting for the cut (that will never come, I promised to Kat :-p).

Now, I don’t plan to publish naked pictures so often as I’ve done lately, even if they raise the readers *smiles at the involuntary double sense*. For example, the beautifull Faerie Hax announced she is coming soon to the Caldarium so, if she accepts, I whould love to have her in this pages. Of course I whould never take or publish a snapshot without previous permission; the Caldarium, and all Pandora’s Peace, is a place to enjoy, not to be worried about me and my camera :-)
