When somebody new posts a comment here (something that doesn’t happens as often as it should, work, guys, work!), and their name has a link to a blog, I loooove to follow it, and most times I read the whole set of posts… or at least I have a peek at them.
Last one has been natural born kiavik, from Banana’s Hubby; and yes, I know that a blog from Banana’s Hubby would had been Banana’s Hubby’s blog… but once you have two apostrophes in a three word sentence, seemed fun to add a third… and it is a way to make people read the post .-p.
Most of his post have a touch of fun, even if I find some things are too far fetched, like: “My inventory is a mess. I have 3,875 items there, but i usually use less than 20 of them.” I also was in the brink of hating him when I saw he was talking about a funny SL video but, fortunately, it wasn’t the other funny SL video I had been waiting for an excuse to publish… and here I have it :-p.
Btw, I found the video at another blogger’s profile, isn’t life fun?
The usual thing would had been to leave one or two comments at my favorite posts but, since he commented he was trying to promote his blog, up to the point of getting banned in the process, why shouldn’t I give him a hand? So I decided I could mention him, and even throw the pic I submitted for Peter’s rezday BOOBIE FLASH Plurk.
I know, it was very generous of me. After all, he can’t promote his blog by submitting pictures of his nipples.
Or can he?
Anyway, I find Banana’s Hubby’s blog lacking, somehow; after so many posts, he didn’t explain why he calls himself Banana’s Hubby?
Unbelievable!
Hint: check the partner tag in his SL-profile :-)
Oh, wait, last time I checked they weren’t officially partnered… doh
Thanks a lot London!
I thought I could stand the Sweethearts ban in order to promote my blog. Now i am definitely flattered by you and the sacrifice of your nipple.
When my RL and SL partner Banana Vella started blogging, i created a “Banana’s hubby” google account just to be able to comment from time to time. I kept that nick for the blog, and this is all :)
I write it just to give my closest friends a laugh, they know who i am in SL. As for the rest of blog wanderers who happen to read it, i am not sure they ‘d be interested in knowing my name.
And I left a couple of comments on your ‘september craziness’ post just because i really liked it.
oh, Peter, is it too late to wish you a happy 3rd rez-day?
Erm..it is late. I hope you had a nice one, then.
Ciao:)
Peter, I had guessed the general meaning of the name, and I was only suggesting a fun name is worth a post (btw, how is it that you know everybody? :-p).
Err… Banana’s? Fun names aren’t so easy to use sometimes, isn’t it? Anyway, I did read your comment, and Peter’s answer, and your answer to Peter *smiles*. But that post talks about a really hard matter for me, that I am still digesting, and I am still trying to find a way to answer it.
Oh, and about “promoting” your blog: I did it for fun, and the nipple was a second hand one, so it wasn’t a big sacrifice after all *winks*.
Can you explain what you mean by “I find Banana’s blog lacking” ? You talk all about his blog then add me in to the mix without substantiating.
@ Peter – we arent partnered in SL cause we cant be bothered – we’re married irl (I thought you knew that?). ttfn.
Err… absolutely my fault, Banana. At the time I wrote the post I didn’t even knew you had a blog, I only wanted to make a fun line, meaning “I find his blog lacking because he doesn’t explain his name”.
Not only it wasn’t too fun; I didn’t notice that, if he was Banana’s hubby, “Banana” wasn’t a good way to short his name, sorry :-p. Probably it would had worked better with a semicolon between “somehow” and “after”?
After reading your comment I would like to write a post about the danger of shorthand, funny names, and funny posts in general, with a title like “Banana’s isn’t lacking, it was her hubby’s”… but I would fully understand if you don’t like the idea.
Anyway, I will edit the offending line just now, to make it clear, and please, accept my apologices again about the misunderstanding.
/me ponders the idea of changing his name into some other fruit’s hubby, like pineapple or avocado’s hubby.
End of the fight. LOL
No probs London, I see what you mean.
Go for it with the post – it’ll be an interesting read :)
Thank you, I’ll have a go at it today :-)
